Next week on Thursday, December 1st at 9.00-12.00, we have the great pleasure of welcoming Mr Marlon Parker from RLabs to host a session for the ICT & mobile community here in Dar at the COSTECH innovation space.
First Marlon will share the story of RLabs – how gang members and drug dealers from Cape Flats became entrepreneurs enabled by ICT to change the lives of others. He will also tell how they developed the concept of living labs for the African context. Living labs are generally defined as environments for user-driven open innovation, come to hear what that means in real life and what are the business possibilities coming out from the ideas and innovations.
After the presentation we’ll have a brainstorming session on business ideas for change, some of the ideas could even be pitched the same evening in the pitching night, and be eligible for the pre-incubation program that’s starting in the beginning of next year.
Here are a couple of sneek-peeks from YouTube to give you an idea of what’s coming up!
PS. Download poster to share the event on a notice board.
