We are extremely happy to share that University of Dar es Salaam and University of Twente from Netherlands will organize SEMA hackathon at the Innovation Space on May 12-13th! This hackathon is linked to the SEMA Research project, which stands for Sensors, Empowerment and Accountability and they goal is to amplify the voice of ordinary citizens and improve their capacity to directly influence public service delivery.
In this hackathon you will work on innovative solutions for connecting citizens to information systems in health and water building on top of existing software from social media, crowd sourcing, human sensors, etc. See full details from the SEMA Hackathon website.
The Hackathon will start on Saturday morning May 12th at 09.00 and finish on Sunday afternoon the following day. You’ll be working on interesting challenges on hot platforms, such as Ushahidi, Taarifa, FLOW, and Google Open Data Kit, Google Places, Foursquare.
