Official launch of the Google Apps Developer Challenge in Dar this Saturday

Google Apps Developer Challenge 2012Here are some exciting news from Google Developer Group Dar es Salaam (GDG/GTUG Dar es Salaam). Google opened the Google Apps Developer Challenge 2012 on June 5th and now this coming Saturday, July 28th, Dar GDG/GTUG is facilitating an official launch from 10am to 12pm at the KINU Hub close to the Morocco Junction (location on Google maps).

In short the Google Apps Developer Challenge is meant for all talented and creative developers designing and building original applications for Google Apps and Google Drive in any one of these categories:

  • Enterprise / Small Business Solutions
  • Social / Personal Productivity / Games / Fun
  • Not-for-Profit: Education / Water / Food & Hunger / Health

A winner will be chosen for each category, for each of the 6 regions around the world taking part in the challenge – 18 great prizes in total.

Key Dates

August 24th: First round submissions due
September 13th: Semi-Finalists announced
October 25th: Updated Semi-Final Apps re-submitted
November 12th: Winners announced
