Tanzanian team of Free and Open Source Software Foundation for Africa (FOSSFA) is organizing the Software Freedom Day (SFD) on Saturday September 15th at COSTECH from 8am-5pm as part of the worldwide celebration of free and open software. The goal of FOSSFA in this celebration is to educate the public about the benefits of using high quality open software in education, in government, at home and in business!
Theme of this year’s celebration in Tanzania is FLOSS as an alternative solution for Tanzania’s socio-economic challenges. Check out the details from the event wiki.
