The Sanitation Hackathon is continuing from last year’s successful Water Hackathon and it brings together technologists, developers and hackers with sanitation experts and journalists to an intensive marathon to find innovative solutions to challenges facing the sanitation sector. The Dar es Salaam hackathon is co-organized and facilitated by the World Sanitation Program (WSP), KINU Innovation Hub, COSTECH, TANZICT, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the World Bank, and it will take place in three parts:
November 24-25th: Field trip to learn about problem scenarios in Rufiji and Tandale
November 28th: Brainstorming session for initial ideas and team formation
December 1st-2nd: Main hackathon event
Participants in Dar es Salaam will be joining hackers and experts for the December 1st-2nd hackathon in Cape Town, London, Nairobi, New York, Rio de Janeiro and 5 other cities around the world where the hackathon is also organized.
