Workshop description
A Joomla workshop for girls and women who are passionate about website development.

Benefits to participants
By the end of the workshop, participants should be able to do the following:

  • Able to differentiate between dynamic websites and static websites
  • Know the benefits of using CMS in website development.
  • Able to install and customize Joomla templates and different modules

Intended Group: Secondary school Girls and Women with or without ICT knowledge

Trainers: Elibariki Mushi-KIU, Ms.Salome Marco-UDSM & Wilhelm C Oddo-from NLab (former OUFLabs)

Organizers: APPS and GIRLS
A project started by three girls (Carolyne Ekyarisiima, Jerusha Bazanama and Gloria Clement) with the goal of helping girls and women who are enthusiastic about ICT.

What APPS and GIRLS do?
ICT field is dominated by males worldwide, yet it is a way of solving problems economically and socially. As it is said; “to educate a woman is to educate the whole society”.  The project  intends to empower women and girls by creating a community that gives them knowledge on how to use ICT to solve different challenges through workshops , boot camps, trainings and mentorships.
